The most common physiologic cause of hypoxemia is
a. Hypoventilation.
b. Incomplete alveolar oxygen diffusion.
c. Ventilation-perfusion inequality.
d. Pulmonary shunt flow.
e. Elevated erythrocyte 2,3-diphosphoglycerate level (2,3-DPT).
