7) THE SPEED OF INHALATIONAL INDUCTION OF ANAESTHESIA WILL BE INCREASED BY:

a) beta adrenergic blockade
b) an increase in alveolar ventilation
c) an increase in cardiac output
d) substituting the inhalation of the agent with one having a greater blood/gas solubility coefficient
e) adding co2 to the inhaled gases

Less the CO, less agent is tken away from alveoli, so concentration in alveoli will rise rapidly, which correspponds with the concentration in brain. Beta blocer would reduce CO and fasten induction.
Alveolar ventilation would increase the rate of rise of alveolar agent concentration.
More the B/G solubility more the transfer across the alveolar-capillary membrane, so that alveolar concentration wouldt rise fast, so slower induction is expected.
CO2 is respiratory stimulant- will increase AV.
