Renin release is stimulated by reduced intrarenal vascular pressures, reduced delivery of na/cl to thick ascending limb of loop of henle (tubulo-glomerular feedback) and sympathetic nervous system (directly via b1 receptors, indirectly via reduced intrarenal pressures and GFR). Angiotensin II inhibits renin secretion.
