8. Antidiuretic hormone
a. acts on the collecting ducts of the nephron
b. acts by increasing the formation of cyclic-AMP in these cells
c. has a half life of about 24 hours
d. originates as a product of neuronal metabolism in the supraoptic nuclei of the hypothalamus
e. is secreted at a constant rate throughout the day and night
