The secretion of aldosterone is mainly controlled by the K and Na levels in the blood, renal ischaemia and the activation of RAA system either through the ischaemia(JG apparatus) or sympathetic nervous system. Angiotensin II causes direct activation of the angiotensin from the adrenal medulla. Increased blood volume will cause a decrease in the aldosterone secretion.
