Ventilation greater in lowerlung as alveoli are less expanded due to weight of lung therefore are more compliant and can expand more increasing ventilation.
Po2 is greater in upper lung as blood flow is decreased. Blood flow and ventilation are greater in the lower lung, blood flow more than ventilation, therefore the V/Q ratio is reduced.
Perfusion is increased in the dependant lung.
