TFFTF

Approximately 60% of the adult male body weight is due to water. In woman this is slightly lower at 55%.In infants and neonates this can be as high as 70%.Two thirds of TBW is present within the intracellular space with 1/3 rd being in the extra cellular space. The various compartments can be measured clinically. The plasma volume represents 5% of the total body weight.
