New Salary Scales For Queensland

There are scheduled salary increased for 1st Sept 2006, 1st Sept 2007, each of 4%. These are the BASIC salaries. This does NOT include penalty payments for weekend, evening, night or overtime work. Plus there is a non-contributory pension (employer paid - c.f. NHS) of 9% plus 17.5% loading of basic salary for 5 weeks of annual leave.

If a trainee registered on a training scheme, there is an additional allowance of $1500.

All hospitals should allow time of for courses and the fees will be reimbursed by the hospital. This would include the like of trauma and life support courses.
