something to look forward to...
I am one of the countless F1's who have been watching the car wreck that is the MDAP process from afar, knowing that my car is headed right towards that mess in the near future. I have seen my seniors be put through a poorly thought-out and unprofessional method of selecting the best candidates.
We have been assured that the system will "change" for when my year enter that process, but based on past experience of what happens when the NHS is put through change I expect to look forward to lots of website crashes (unlike this website..), changing of the goalposts half way through and lots of "well we are still discussing the actual details of the application process..". NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Some people are taking the option of leaving for abroad, with australia being particularly popular for obvious reasons. But I don't want to leave, my family and friends are here and I believe in the NHS and want to be a part of making it a success.
I forsee much uncertainty for my colleagues and I. I just hope that we can all apply via a system that has the faith of the NHS doctors because if not, then it is doomed to failure and it will take another chunk of the integrity of the NHS with it.
